Self Reflection

Beyond the Facade

Published: 19/03/2020

Introduction:

Every morning, a man would remember the Almighty, seek blessings, and begin his routine. He'd pay respects at every church, temple, mosque, gurudwara, and other places of worship. People regarded him as deeply religious, but unbeknownst to them, he was consumed by inner vices. "This seemingly pious exterior, however, concealed a startling reality.

The Hidden Truth:

One day, during a heated debate on morality, his inner demons suddenly burst forth, roaring loudly. The master thief, elusive for 100 days, was unmasked at once. This moment revealed the truth Matthew 15:18 warns us about: "But the things that come out of a person's mouth come from the heart, and these defile them." This revelation exposed the disparity between his outward appearance and inner truth.

The Universal Truth:

This revelation aligns with the universal principle that truth is the foundation of life, as stated in John 14:6: "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.” This verse underscores that Truth is God, beyond untruth, devoid of selfishness, arrogance, greed, anger, jealousy, resentment, adultery, violence, lust, and infidelity. God is omnipresent, and so is truth. Recognizing this universal truth, we must take action to align our lives with it.

The Call to Action:

To align our life with truth humanity should first conquer inner demons, Instead of seeking God in holy sites. This is in line with the scripture at (Matthew 5:23-24) that guides us: "Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift." Therefore, it is to note that truth and untruth cannot coexist. To truly embody truth, eradicate untruth from within. Scriptures confirm this impossibility (Matthew 6:24): "No one can serve two masters... You cannot serve both God and money." The onus is on each of us to:

- Choose truth
- Discard untruth
- Cultivate righteousness
- Sacrifice unrighteousness
- Drive out inner demons

Conclusion:

As we strive to embody truth, we must remember the urgency of this transformation, echoed in 2 Peter 3:10: "The Day of the Lord will come like a thief." This precious life is a golden opportunity to recognize, acknowledge, and renounce inner untruth. Cultivate righteousness. Drive out inner demons. Discover truth before life's final moment.

A Universal Goal:

If global leaders recognized and overcame inner demons, falsehood wouldn't rage uncontrollably.

A Sincere Prayer:

My God, help global leaders recognize and overcome inner demons, embody compassion, wisdom,

Amen!

Praise be to God, Thanks be to God.
