Self Reflection

Judgment Day: Where Selflessness Meets Accountability

Published: 18/03/2020

A Sincere Research:

The beggars the resercher met at the gates of churches, mosques, temples, gurdwaras and other places of worship on his first day of research became regulars, with their numbers growing over time as they brought friends and family, including children, to beg.

The Observations:

• Thousands of devotees’ flock to the sacred sites daily, praying for prosperity and progress, yet a handful of beggars refrain from entering these hallowed halls. Instead, they bow their heads from afar and begin soliciting alms.
• Beggars remain beggars because the administrators of religious sites and the devotees who visit them pray only for their own prosperity and progress, not for the well-being of the beggars.
• Beggars remain beggars because devotees pray for millions in blessings for themselves, but offer only pennies to the beggars, before moving on.
• Devotees are generous when offering donations and gifts to the Almighty.
• Occasionally, some beggars succumbed to death due to lack of proper treatment, poverty, starvation, and suicide.

Concern and Views:

If administrators of religious sites and devotees genuinely embodied humility and compassion, beggars would have vanished from their gates within 50 years.
In my view, religion should foster love, humility, and compassion in human hearts.
Regrettably, people visit churches, mosques, and temples, but they do not cultivating love, humility, and compassion. Their selfishness further adds to poverty, hunger, and starvation.
It's crucial to recognize that selfish prayers fall on deaf ears. The selfless Almighty won't heed them; He'll listen only to ignore. As Matthew 19:30 warns, 'Many who are first will be last, and the last will be first.'

Judgement Day:

On Judgment Day, the humble will be accepted and exalted by God, while the proud will be rejected.
On Judgment Day, when God, the ultimate judge, asks, 'You progressed, but why didn't the beggars at your prayer site's gate progress alongside you?' What will our response be?
We must realize that the beggar won't face similar questioning on Judgment Day. Thus, the wealthy will be demoted, and the poor will be elevated.

A Call to Action:

This precious life is an opportunity to abandon selfish prayers and prosper with others through divine love, humility, and compassion, by dedicating ourselves to the service of humanity, ensuring elevation on Judgment Day.

A Universal Goal:

If global leaders, officials, and government and non-government authorities embraced the religion of humanity, serving humanity selflessly, poverty, hunger, unemployment, suicide, starvation, and inflation would not persist outside the parliament gates since its inception.
Authorities worldwide, responsible for governing this 'temple of democracy,' must regret the ongoing presence of poverty, hunger, starvation, unemployment, and inflation despite annual budgets of billions.

A Sincere Prayer:

May Lord, assist global leaders, officials, and government and non-government authorities to foster:
Divine love
Humility
Compassion
Grant them:

Wisdom to serve humanity selflessly
Compassion to understand the needy
Courage to stand for justice
Vision to forge a better future
As they gather at the parliament, a temple of democracy, may their unity and collective efforts reflect Your divine love.

Amen!

Praise be to God, Thanks be to God.
