Politics of Silence:

Society members were encouraged to run for various posts. Someone recommended a member for the secretary position. A member with Chameleon syndrome wished to become secretary, but dared not ask for recommendations, knowing he was weaker than the nominated member. So, he decided to bide his time rather than reveal his intentions."

A Calculated Move

Driven by selfishness, he recommended a more popular member for secretary, securing strong support. However, his true motive was to pave the way for his own candidacy.

A Stab in the Back:

Now two candidates contested the secretary position, but he desperately wanted it for himself. Having recommended another member, he believed his social image had improved. To clear his path, he needed to eliminate his recommended candidate. He devised a devious scheme, hosting a dinner party for all members. During the event, he befriended the proposed candidate, secretly obtaining their car key. He then planted incriminating evidence in the car and anonymously tipped off the police, paving his way to the position.

A Call to Authenticity:

Humans have a tendency to deceive others for self-interest, killing humanity and harming society. Our precious life offers us the chance to overcome our chameleon syndrome, cultivating humility, upholding justice, and leaving a legacy of truth for generations.

A Global Concern:

If only leaders, officials, governments, and people worldwide recognized and overcame chameleon syndrome, our world would flourish with love, peace, compassion, empathy, humility, and justice.

A Sincere Prayer:

May we rid ourselves of malice, deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander (1 Peter 2:1).

May we turn from evil and do good, seeking peace and pursuing it (Psalm 34:14).

As Matthew 5:9 reminds us: "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God."

Love conquers hatred
Peace soothes conflicts
