A Kingdom of love:
The citizens eagerly await in long queues for a glimpse of their King, coming with offerings and eager to share their thoughts. This was a regular occurrence, as their King was a beloved leader, admired for his compassionate nature, embodied by love, mercy, peace, kindness, forgiveness, justice, patience, and tolerance. His cabinet and ministers followed his path of public service, creating a harmonious and cosy environment.
Typical Case:
One day, a man waiting in line saluted the king and, as he prepared to offer his gift, the minister whispered something in the king's ear. The king scolded the man, saying, 'You quarrel with your neighbour, trouble them, boast about your faith, and harass them because of theirs.' He continued, 'I am well aware of your wrongdoings! How dare you offer me valuables like gold and silver while you treat my precious citizens with cruelty?'" Then the King quoted a lesson from the Bible, Matthew 5:23-24, which teaches, 'Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift.' He continued, 'As it is written, first apologize to your neighbour, if you want to share something with me.'
Seeking Forgiveness and Repentance is the Path to Reconciliation:
To make our prayers and offerings acceptable to God, it is right and just to let go of hatred towards our neighbours. This precious life offers us an opportunity to mend every relationship through sincere repentance and seeking forgiveness, leading to forgiveness and relationship healing & reconnect. Ultimately, our repentance is the true gift that brings us closer to God while seeking forgiveness from neighbour brings us close to them
A Return Gift:
We must acknowledge that everything, tangible or intangible, belongs to God. Can we truly offer something that already belongs to Him? Is He awaiting fleeting gifts? No! God delights in the sincerity of our mind, body, and soul. Remember, our neighbours are His precious gift to us, to love and cherish
A Global Concern:
If only leaders, officials, governments, and people worldwide embraced the value of loving their neighbours, everlasting peace would shadow the earth.
A Heartfelt Plea:
May our world embrace the transformative power of love, as taught in Matthew 22:37-40. 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbour as yourself.' May loving each other bring peace, harmony, and understanding to our world, for all the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.’
Amen!
Praise be to God, Thanks be to God.
