Do We Pretend Like Pilate About Truth?

Pilate pretended to be unaware of truth, but he was well-versed in it, as evident from his statement: "I find no basis for a charge against him" (John 18:38, NIV). Truth is flawless. Pilate knew the one standing before him was truth incarnate, yet he chose to release untruth (Barabbas) and arrest truth (Jesus) to maintain his kingdom of untruth.

We are constantly faced with a choice between truth and untruth. Which one do we choose? What kind of kingdom do we live in? Are we free from untruth, or do we, like Pilate, release untruth and arrest truth?

Those who fail to recognize truth today for the sake of untruth will eventually recognize it. As Jesus said, "Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free" (John 8:32, NIV)

To enter God's kingdom, it is essential to recognize truth. When we acknowledge truth, it sets us free from untruth. Conversely, if we recognize untruth, we become bound to it, just like Pilate.

In conclusion, recognizing truth at every step is crucial for entering God's kingdom. We must choose truth to be set free from untruth. Merely reciting "your kingdom come" is not enough; we must acknowledge truth in every moment to experience freedom.
