LORD'S PRAYER - PART-V

Your kingdom come. (Luke 11:2, NIV)

God's Kingdom Recited, Not Lived:

"Your kingdom come" signifies God's kingdom, a realm of love, humility, forgiveness, peace, compassion, and patience. Do you experience this kingdom anywhere? Honestly, I don't find it anywhere.

I observe wrongdoing reigning supreme – envy, quarrels, fighting, anger, selfishness, lust, adultery, misbehavior, corruption, oppression, abortion, murder, suicide, drunkenness, backbitting, gossiping, estrangement, arrogance, hypocrisy, pretense, rich-poor disparities, social hierarchies, power struggles, conflicts, dirty politics, abuse, and more. This is the reality almost everywhere.

The Lord's Prayer is the most recited prayer, yet God's kingdom remains elusive. Reflect on how often we say "Your kingdom come" without truly living in God's kingdom, a life of love, humility, forgiveness, peace, compassion, endurance, and patience.

This disparity warrants introspection. Why do we repeatedly pray for God's kingdom to come without embracing its values in our daily lives?
