LORD'S PRAYER - PART-IV

Father, hallowed be your name (Luke 11:2, NIV)

Concluding Remark for the First Line of Jesus' Taught Prayer:

To hallow God's name, our entire being, from head to toe, needs to be united in harmony. If our body parts are not united in this harmony, consumed by their weaknesses and engaged in evil deeds, then it's impossible to proclaim His holy name merely by reciting it. Instead, we'll keep drifting away from Him by unnecessarily taking His name.

Jesus hallowed and proclaimed God's name through His entire being, consistently and continually obeying His two greatest commandments during His earthly life. As He said, “If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love.” (John 15:10, NiV)

If our entire being doesn't unite in obedience to God at the same frequency, and we try to hallow His name merely through recitation, then He will reveal the paradox between our words and actions on Judgment Day. God cannot be deceived or cheated. As Jesus declared, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6, NIV)

When we raise our entire being from untruth to truth, our surroundings will begin to hallow God's name, proclaiming it naturally. As Scripture reminds us, "By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:35, NIV)

God created us to magnify and glorify Him. Therefore, we need to narrow the gap between our words and actions. We must work to overcome our double standards, uniting our entire being to hallow and proclaim God's name, just as Jesus exemplified during His earthly life. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. (John 13:35, NIV)
