Mankind: A Yield of God’s Ultimate Righteousness
Does God create any human being not in His image and likeness? Can anyone claim his creation not in likeness of God? Anyone making such a claim demonstrates a lack of understanding and reverence for God. The Almighty God, the Creator, creates the entire creation according to His righteousness. Indeed, His righteousness lacks unrighteousness. Being so righteous, He Himself abides by the religion of love, humanity, and friendship, which suggests His soul is constituted of love, kindness, forgiveness, peace, compassion, endurance, patience, and humility in abundance. Thus, He carries such a religious nature that He is far from vices: discrimination, partiality, divisiveness, separatism, and individualism. Thus, He creates humanity in His image and likeness, and honours them with dominion over His entire creation, because of His righteousness and religious nature, as recorded in the scripture:
Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. (Genesis 1:26-27, NIV)
God Infuses Human Souls with His Divine Perfection:
God, the creator, creates humanity in His image and likeness, endowing them with His righteous nature, and infuses human souls with His divine perfection by imparting the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit. Thus, He creates humanity, filling their souls with His virtues: love, kindness, forgiveness, peace, compassion, endurance, patience, and humility in abundance. God places humanity in a loving community, the Garden of love, to live in accordance with His righteousness by following the religion of love, the religion of humanity, and the religion of friendship. To enable us to live accordingly, He generously endows our souls with the absolute gift and fruit of His soul, the Holy Spirit, as recorded in the scripture:
So, God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. (Genesis 1:27, NIV)
It's a tragic irony that humanity begins to lose the ultimate gift and fruit of the Holy Spirit, infused by God at creation, as they grow older, due to worldly desires. They, by getting stuck in these desires, fail to demonstrate generosity and wholeheartedly embrace godly righteousness by following the religion of love, the religion of humanity, and the religion of friendship. As a result, they begin to lose their soul and, with it, all the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, it is reminded in the scripture:
What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? (Mark 8:36, NIV)
Cultivating Divine Perfection: A Call to Authentic Living
The ‘Baptism of Water’ signifies a commitment to live by the religion of love, the religion of humanity, and the religion of friendship in the human community, the Garden of love, and to properly utilize the gift and fruits of the Holy Spirit. Similarly, the ‘Baptism of Repentance’ is a renewed promise to turn from sin and embrace righteousness, living by these religions in the Garden of love, and utilizing the Holy Spirit's gifts. Sadly, it is ironic that instead of gathering in the Garden of love, many congregate in their churches, embracing a biased and divisive mindset, practicing superficial worship through rituals. This raises an important question: what is the benefit of the gift and fruits of the Holy Spirit, infused in our souls at creation? We often see people begging for these gifts in church, despite already receiving them. Who benefits from these prayers, and what is the value of such worship? As we reflect on this paradox, let us strive to live righteously, following the religion of love, humanity, and friendship, and properly use the Holy Spirit's gifts in the Garden of love, as the scripture states:
"Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect." (Matthew 5:48, NIV)
Jesus’ Disheartenment:
Disheartened by our divisive and separatist tendencies, Jesus says, as recorded in the scripture:
You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you: ‘These people honour me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules. (Matthew 15:7-9, NIV)
A Sincere Call for Action:
Let us move beyond the walls of our physical churches and enter the Garden of love, the human community, to attain unity with God and others, for which Jesus continuously prays, as recorded in the scripture:
"My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me." (John 17:20-21, NIV)
The Path to True Unity with God and Others:
Will we ever grasp the significance of the religion of love, the religion of humanity, and the religion of friendship, in accordance with God's righteousness? Finding an answer to this question is crucial because we have let Him taste bitterness while He has been yearning for our righteousness, as stated in the scripture:
"I am thirsty." (John 19:28, NIV)
Indeed, He addresses the righteous, residing in the human community, the Garden of love, using the Holy Spirit's gifts and fruits, living by the religion of love, the religion of humanity, and the religion of friendship, as written in the scripture:
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 5:3-10, NIV)
I wholeheartedly propose the Religion of Love, Humanity, and Friendship to unite with God and others. This can only be achieved by breaking free from the confinement of the boundary of physical churches fragmented worldwide, permanently leaving behind hypocrisy, twisted mindset, prejudice, and bias, and stepping into the Garden of love for a true divine love, humanity, and friendship with everyone.
Therefore, in the next article, we will delve into exploring why it is essential to enter the human community, the Garden of love.
