First Aspect of Baptism:
"Jesus sets an unparalleled example of humility by undergoing the 'Baptism of Water'.
Second Aspect of Baptism:
Notably, Jesus, being sinless, didn't require baptism. Yet, by undergoing it, He validated its importance and righteousness. If baptism was right for Jesus, it is equally relevant for humanity. Since Jesus emphasized the significance of water baptism, we should also acknowledge its importance, as stated in Scripture: “Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfil all righteousness.” (Matthew 3:15)
Jesus' willingness to be baptized demonstrates His humility and commitment to God's plan.
Third Aspect of Baptism:
Jesus declared the 'Baptism of Water', administered by John the Baptist, a divine ritual and sacrament, thereby sealing it with heavenly approval.
Fourth Aspect of Baptism:
John the Baptist, the voice of the invisible God in the wilderness, straightened and narrowed the zigzag path of sin through the Baptism of Water. Now, the same invisible God, manifest in Jesus, undergoes baptism Himself, calling humanity to renounce the broad path of falsehood and embark on the narrow path of truth through sacrifice and fasting. As Jesus said, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me' (John 14:6). By humbly receiving baptism, Jesus shows us the path to the Kingdom of God. Whoever walks the way of truth will reach the heavenly Father.
Fifth Aspect of Baptism:
The Baptism of Water is a sacred ritual, empowering humanity to embark on the path of truth. Through this sacrament, we pledge to continually defeat our adversary, Satan, by renouncing falsehood and walking in truth, pleasing God.
Have we learned to consistently overcome Satan's schemes since our Baptism? If not, we must introspectively ask: 'Where are we truly living our lives?' Disembarking from untruth and defeating Satan, the leader of deceit, is essential to embracing truth, as our Creator delights in our obedience. As Jesus said, 'The one who sent me is with me; he has not left me alone, for I always do what pleases him.' (John 8:29).
Sixth Aspect of Baptism:
The Baptism of Water signifies an oath to embark on the path of truth, continually defeating our adversary, Satan. As Jesus affirms, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me' (John 14:6). This sacrament initiates a lifelong commitment to overcome Satan's influence and walk in truth.
Seventh Aspect of Baptism:
Even a hint of untruth is unacceptable to God. Therefore, humanity must refrain from untruth entirely, as pledged at the time of Baptism of Water. This oath can only be fulfilled through unceasing prayer and fasting, as scripture states: 'But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting'(Matthew 17:21). If, despite baptism, we succumb to Satan's influence, how can we glorify God in our lives? As John the Baptist said, 'He must increase, but I must decrease' (John 3:30).
Eighth Aspect of Baptism:
We must continually walk on the path of truth, increasing God's glory. As we renounce falsehood, we proportionally advance on the path of truth, drawing closer to God.
