A Transformative Event: took place when John the Baptist was redirecting people's lives through the 'Baptism of Repentance' by water, filling them with the divine greenery of love, humility, compassion, peace, and endurance. Are you familiar with this event?
The Event is of High Significance: because Jesus didn't come to review or assess John the Baptist's work, but had come to undergo the 'Baptism of Water' under his administration. The event is remarkable as the one with the divine power to baptize with fire and Holy Spirit had come to undergo the 'Baptism of Water', as the scripture tells us: "Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John." (Matthew 3:13)
The Event is Remarkable: and of high significance because Jesus, with the divine power to baptize with fire and Holy Spirit, humbly stepped below John the Baptist. John's endeavor to deter Jesus from the Baptism of Water adds further essence to the event, as the scripture informs: 'But John tried to deter him, saying, “I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?”' (Matthew 3:14)
A Valid Question: Why did Jesus feel the need for the 'Baptism of Water'?
John the Baptist’s Awareness: Being aware of Jesus' divine nature, John the Baptist tried to deter him, as recorded in Scripture:
But John tried to deter him, saying, ‘I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?’
Jesus replied, ‘Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfil all righteousness.’”
Then John consented. (Matthew 3:14-15)
Necessary to Explore the Mystery: We need to ponder why Jesus, who has the divine power to baptize with fire and the Holy Spirit, required 'Baptism of Water'. This raises another profound question: which is more significant, 'Baptism of Water' or 'Baptism with fire and Holy Spirit'?
